Indulge in the exquisite taste of this organic Shiraore Houjicha roasted green tea, meticulously crafted from premium spring Sencha leaves and Shiraore stems. Carefully roasted at a high temperature, this tea boasts a fresh and invigorating flavour profile that perfectly complements a variety of foods.

This premium-grade Yuki Furu Yama Houjicha brews a captivating liquor with a refreshing and complex roasted caramel aroma, accompanied by a subtle sweetness. The roasting process also reduces the caffeine content, making it a suitable choice for children, pregnancy, and the elderly, ensuring a delightful tea experience for the whole family.

To fully savour the depth of flavour, we recommend steeping the tea in hot water at 90°C - 100°C for approximately 45 seconds to a minute. Just 5 grams (1.5 teaspoons) of our carefully selected tea leaves are enough to brew a cup of pure bliss with 200 ml of water. Enjoy this premium tea hot or cold for a truly remarkable drinking experience.

About the Tea Garden:

This Houjicha comes from a small tea garden operated by husband and wife farmers/producers deep in the mountains of Yabe Village, Fukuoka, Japan. Established by his grandfather, this 3rd generation farm specializes in high-grade mountain-grown Sencha and Gyokuro. The mountainous village, blessed with cool weather, is covered with snow in winter. Due to these conditions, the tea leaves in the mountains bud later than their counterparts on flat lands. Furthermore, there are fewer pests and the tea plants are able to grow without the use of chemicals, leading to the production of natural organic tea leaves.

These farmers have received Japan's highest agricultural prize, and the Minister's Award, three times. They are one of Japan's highly regarded farmers.
