Elevate your tea ritual, enhance your brewing experience
Our Shiboridashi, a modern take on the classic Gyokuro tea vessel, is meticulously handcrafted and designed by skilled artisans to offer a fresh perspective on brewing the perfect cup of Gyokuro or Sencha

Embark on a modern and refined tea-brewing journey with our meticulously crafted Shiboridashi, thoughtfully designed to deliver the perfect cup of Gyokuro or Sencha. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Arita, Saga Prefecture, our Shiboridashi offers a contemporary twist on traditional Japanese tea brewing, enhancing your appreciation of this revered cultural practice.

Using our Shiboridashi is an immersive and mindful experience. Simply measure the tea leaves and place them directly into the tea vessel. Pour 50°C, or 60°C, hot water over the leaves and cover with the lid to steep the tea. In just 90 seconds to 2 minutes, the tea is brewed to perfection. The Shiboridashi's lid, ingeniously designed as a strainer, makes pouring a breeze, holding back the leaves while the brewed tea flows into small cups or a pitcher. The process can be repeated multiple times with shorter steeping times to unlock the full spectrum of flavours from the tea leaves.

Beyond its exceptional brewing capabilities, our Shiboridashi is incredibly versatile. Its exquisite craftsmanship and stunning design make it a piece of art that can also serve as a plate for presenting food or desserts, adding a touch of elegance to your table. Its multifunctionality extends to being a decorative object or ornament that can be proudly displayed in your home, showcasing its artisanal beauty.

The unique design of the Shiboridashi is prized for its ability to extract the delicate flavours and aromas of high-quality green teas without over-brewing or extracting any bitterness. It is a preferred brewing vessel among tea connoisseurs who appreciate the subtleties of Japanese green teas and enjoy the ritualistic aspect of brewing tea with a traditional Japanese teapot. Indulge in this contemporary tea-brewing experience with our Shiboridashi, and elevate your tea-drinking ritual to a new level.
